Dr. Amit Kumar is working as a scientist in Solid State Physics Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, and Associate Professor at Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai, India. Dr. Kumar is an expert in magnetism and neutron diffraction and neutron depolarization. He has extensively investigated the technologically important magnetization reversal phenomenon in spinels, garnets, perovskites, molecular magnets, and intermetallic compounds, and revealed a microscopic (atomic level) as well as mesoscopic (magnetic domain length scale) understanding of the phenomenon using neutron scattering.
