Dr. Maiko Kofu
Materials and Life Science Experimental Facility, J-PARC
Maiko Kofu obtained her Ph.D. degree from the Physics Department at Tohoku University (2005). She has been
working as a
postdoctoral fellow at High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (2005–2006), a research associate at the
University
of Virginia (2006–2009), and an assistant professor at Institute for Solid State Physics, the University of
Tokyo
(2009–2016). Since 2016, she has been working at the instrument AMATERAS at the Materials and Life Science
Experimental
Facility, J-PARC. Her research is focused on investigating the dynamics of atoms/molecules or spins in a variety
of
novel materials using neutron spectroscopy.
